Indian Land Lady Warriors Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning for Victory Over Chester
Indian Land Lady Warriors defeated Chester 6-5 on Tuesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at five with Indian Land Lady Warriors batting in the bottom of the sixth when Malya Flynn doubled, driving in one run.
Indian Land Lady Warriors built a four-run lead in the third inning and then held off Chester’s charge. Chester scored three runs in the failed comeback on a groundout in the fourth and a single by in the sixth.
Chester took an early lead in the first inning with a triple on the first pitch of the at bat in the first inning, scoring one run.
Indian Land Lady Warriors had nine hits in the game. Gabbie Doyle and Savannah Bean each collected multiple hits for Indian Land Lady Warriors. Bean and Doyle each managed two hits to lead Indian Land Lady Warriors.
