The Indian Land Cross Country team competed at Lancaster high school on Tuesday September 24th. The girls team placed first with a score of fifteen points, Lancaster second with forty-eight points, and Fairfield central third with sixty-two points. The boy’s team placed first with twenty-three points, Fairfield Central second with thirty-two points, Lancaster third with sixty-six points, Lewisville fourth with 121 points, and Hawthorne Christian fifth with 149 points.
Leading the Lady Warriors was Sophomore Mattie-Baile Tripp who placed first overall with a time of 22:30. Olivia Morales finished second 23:12, Rachel Graham third, 23:44, Caprielle Terry fourth 24:27, Lauren Sizemore fifth 24:52, Chloe Duernberger eighth 25:46, Isabella Kiger 29:14, Julia Borwn 31:34, Danielle Griffith 31:48, Blakely Hardin 32:27, Maithili Bhoop 34:06, Madelyn Little 37:03, Addison Crown 37:47, Anna Connors 38:17, Molly Diaz 43:05, and Jada Burnette 44:30 also competed for the team.
Leading the boy’s team was Senior Ben Elson who placed first overall with a time of 18:14. Walker Reeves finished third with a time of 18:45, Maddox Yegge fourth 18:51, Jaxon Barringer seventh 19:10, Noah Kiger eighth 19:19, David Pohleber 21:17, William Bayley 21:31, Alexander Krull 21:46, Ethan Geiger 22:21, Connor Stebbins 22:42, Peter Campbell 24:11, JT Dilauro 24:46, Asael Gonzalez 24:47, Kohen Redmond 25:04, Logan Preddy 25:05, Micheal Atkinson 27:12, Drew Gersewski 27:27, Brandon Deckard 28:08, Dillon Thower 33:02, and Preston Remien 33:21 also competed for the team.
The Warriors next meet is the Wendy’s Invitational on Saturday October 5th at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, NC. The meet starts at 9:00am
