The Indian Land Cross country team competed at the Bob Jenkins SCTCCCA Coaches Classic on Saturday October 12th. The meet was held at the Carolina Cup Racing Association Facility in Camden, SC. The boy’s team placed twelfth out of fifty-six teams in the Championship race. The girl’s team placed sixteenth out of fifty-nine teams in the Championship race.
Leading the boys team was Senior Walker Reeves who placed twenty-fourth overall out of 394 runners at the meet with a time of 18:15. Ben Elson placed thirtieth overall with a time of 18:24. Jaxon Barringer placed sixty-fourth with a time of 18:57. Noah Kiger 19:33 and David Pohlheber 19:56 also competed for the team.
Leading the lady Warriors was Sophomore Mattie-Baile Tripp who placed thirtieth overall out of 409 runners at the meet with a time of 22:09. Olivia Morales placed fiftieth overall with a time of 22:34. Rachel Graham placed fifty-first with a time of 22:35. Lauren Sizemore 24:20, Chloe Duernberger 25:48, Caprielle Terry 26:20, and Isabella Kiger 27:21 also competed for the team.
In the boys Junior Varsity sophomore to senior grade race, Liam Bayley led the team with a time of 21:41. Ethan Geiger 22:26, Nathan Wardy 23:54, Alexander Krull 24:18, and JT Dilauro 24:23 also competed for the team.
In the girls Junior Varsity race, Senior Blakely Hardin led the team with a time of 30:36. Julia Brown 32:30, Madelyn Little 33:47, Addison Crown 37:11, and Anna Connors 39:24 also competed for the team.
In the boys Junior Varsity seventh grade to ninth grade race, eighth grader Connor Stebbins led the team with a time of 22:30. Ben Carroll 23:37, Kohen Redmond 23:49, Michael Atkinson 24:03, Scott Hansen 24:42, Logan Pretty 25:15, Drew Gersewski 26:50, and Simon Cherry 35:49 also competed for the team.
The Warriors next meet is on Tuesday October 22nd at Historic Camden Park, in Camden, SC. The meet starts at 5:00pm.
