The Indian Land Cross Country team competed at Historic Camden Park on Tuesday, October 22nd. This was the last regular season meet of the season. The girls team placed second with thirty-five points out of eight teams. Catawba Ridge won the meet with twenty-six points. The boy’s team placed second with forty-five points out of twelve teams. Fairfield Central won the meet with forty-two points.
Leading the Lady Warriors was Sophomore Mattie-Baile Tripp who placed second overall out of eighty-seven runners with a personal best time of 20:59. Olivia Morales placed third overall with a time of 21:23. Rachel Graham placed fifth with a time of 21:43. Lauren Sizemore placed eleventh 22:54, Caprielle Terry fourteenth 23:35, Chloe Duernberger 24:35, Isabella Kiger 25:48, Blakely Hardin 27:00, Maithili Bhoop 29:13, Madelyn Little 29:17, Addison Crown 35:55, Anna Connors 36:25, and Molly Diaz 37:14 also competed for the team.
Leading the boy’s team was Senior Walker Reeves who placed second overall out of 142 runners with a new personal best time of 17:09. Ben Elson placed third with a personal best time of 17:10. Jaxon Barringer placed sixth, also with a new personal best time of 17:50. Noah Kiger placed fifteenth with a time of 18:39, Maddox Yegge 18:54, David Pohlheber 19:14, Connor Stebbins 20:34, William Bayley 20:47, Ben Carroll 20:50, Alexander Krull 21:20, Micheal Atkinson 21:53, Nathan Wardy 22:30, Jacob Sisler 22:31, Kohen Redmond 22:39, JT Dilauro 23:16, Logan Preddy 23:19, Peter Stein 23:34, Brandon Deckard 24:52, Scott Hansen 26:05, Dillon Thrower 32:56, and Simon Cherry 33:19 also competed for the team.
The Warriors next meet is the Region IV AAA Championship on Tuesday October 29th. The meet will be held at Historic Camden Park and girls varsity will start at 4:00pm, boys varsity 4:30pm, coed JV 5:00pm and awards at 5:45pm.
