The Indian Land Cross Country team competed at the Lancaster home meet on Tuesday October 6th. The boy’s team placed second out of five teams. Lancaster placed first with thirty-four points, Indian Land second with forty points, Westwood third with fifty points, River Walk academy 115 points, and fifth Richard Winn Academy with 148 points. The girl’s team placed first out of five teams with eighteen points. Lancaster second with eighty points, Richard Winn Academy third with eighty-three points, fourth Westwood with eighty-three points, and Riverwalk Academy fifth with ninety-eight points.
Leading the boy’s team was sophomore Jaxon Barringer who placed second overall out of forty-two runners with a time of 19:36. Brian Adams placed fourth with a time of 20:33, Maddox Yegge sixth place 20:42, Ben Carroll 21:55, Liam Bayley 22:55, Kohen Redmond 23:10, Alexander Krull 24:09, Felix Gonzalez 24:57, Simon Cherry 27:44, Ivan Mercado 29:25, and Chase Hullinger 33:41 also competed for the team.
Leading the girl’s team was freshman Olivia Morales who placed first overall out of thirty-four runners with a time of 22:57. Eight grader Rachel Graham placed second with a time of 23:24. Senior Lauren Sizemore placed fourth with a time of 25:21. Caprielle Terry fifth place 25:32, Anna Urquhart sixth place 26:37, Ally Basik ninth place 27:25, Isabella Kiger 31:00, Julia Brown 32:23, and Kaylyn Bauder 38:39 also competed for the team.
The Warriors next meet is the Region 3 AAAA Championship meet on Wednesday, October 21st at Anne Springs Greenway hosted by Catawba Ridge.
