The Indian Land Warriors track team competed at the Catawba Ridge home meet on Monday March 22nd. The Warriors competed against Catawba Ridge, Lewisville, and Riverwalk Academy.
Leading girls team performances from the meet, Carolina Tripp placed first in the 100m Hurdles (19.01), Kelsey Dembroski first place 400m (1:08.1), Nykhia Stewart placed first in the Triple Jump (30-6), Olivia Morales placed first in both the 1600m (6:00) and 3200m (13:20). The 4x100m relay placed first (44.8) Sahara Fosu, Megan Frolich, Noye Idehen, Bellamy Bangoura, and the 4x400m relay also placed first with a time of 54.63 Bellamy Bangoura, Kelsey Dembroski, Noye Idehen, and Killiah Tully.
The leading boys team performances from the meet, Grant Witherspoon placing first in the 110m Hurdles (19.01), Brian Adams placed first in High Jump (5-6), and Maddox Yegge placed first in both the 1600m (5:13), and 3200m (11:22).
The Warriors next meet in on Saturday March 27th and will travel to Lower Richland High School for the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic meet section four. There are seven different coaches classic meets occurring on Saturday throughout South Carolina. The performances will be combined and the Top sixteen finishers will be invited to the Coaches Classic Elite meet on April 24th.
