With Nolan On The Mound, Warriors Shuts Out Fairfield Central
Nolan Bolt had all the right stuff on Wednesday for Warriors, allowing zero runs and besting Fairfield Central by a score of 10-0
Warriors fired up the offense in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Warriors.
Warriors scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to an error on a ball put in play by Trace White and a double by Lawson Otte.
A single by Chazi Jones in the fifth inning was a positive for Fairfield Central.
Bolt was the winning pitcher for Warriors. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out 13 and walking one.
Jacob McManus took the loss for Fairfield Central. He went two and a third innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out four.
Jay Hildreth, Otte, Connor Ouimet, Chase Dougherty, Bolt, and Trey Boyd each managed one hit to lead Warriors. Warriors didn’t commit a single error in the field. Justin Cope had 13 chances in the field, the most on the team. Warriors stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Dougherty led the way with four.
Jones went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Fairfield Central in hits.
