Late Score Costs Warriors Against West Brunswick
Saturday’s game against West Brunswick was a heartbreaker for Warriors, as they lost the lead late in an 11-3 defeat. The game was tied at three with West Brunswick batting in the bottom of the sixth when Tanner Babson singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
The Warriors struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing West Brunswick, giving up 11 runs.
West Brunswick got things started in the first inning when Babson doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
David Warth led the West Brunswick to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He surrendered one run on two hits over four innings, striking out three and walking zero. Haler and Owen McDowell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Kyle Raynor took the loss for Warriors. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and striking out three.
